Rabbi Goldberg is an accepted authority on the Musar movement. His books include a revision of his doctoral dissertation, "Israel Salanter: Text, Structure, Idea", and "Between Berlin and Slobodka: Jewish Transition Figures from Eastern Europe," which includes material on Rabbis Israel Salanter, Isaac Hutner, Joseph B. Soloveitchik, Professor. Abraham J. Heschel, and others. Rabbi Goldberg has recently published Hallel Hakohen, a 494-page Hebrew elucidation of the Biur ha-Gra on Yoreh Deah 201, Hilchot Mikva'ot.
